Internal Medicine Facilities

  • On-site Laboratory
  • Diagnostic Imaging
  • Endoscopy Suite
  • Chemotherapy

On-site Laboratory

Access to our on-site laboratory provides rapid results for blood and urinary tests. In addition, we also have access to multiple off-site laboratories across the country and the world, carefully selected for their individual expertise.

Diagnostic Imaging

Our diagnostic imaging service provides our internal medicine clinicians with incredible resources that provide an invaluable contribution towards achieving accurate diagnoses for patients. The diagnostic imaging service comprises of skilled clinicians and technicians as well as quality equipment such as MRI, CT, and ultrasonography equipment.

Endoscopy Suite

Our well-equipped endoscopy suite is used every day for the evaluation of gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urinary tract conditions. The team have an excellent working relationship with the soft tissue surgery service founded on a mutual desire to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients.

Strong communication between the two services allows the team to determine the optimal course ofaction and combine the benefits of both a medical and surgical approach to the management of a case. This is particularly important for patients diagnosed with tumours as well as critically ill patientsand can certainly make the difference between a successful and unsatisfactory outcome.

Chemotherapy

A significant part of the work in the internal medicine and oncology service is to diagnose and treat various types of cancers. Several cancers can benefit from chemotherapy. An experienced team of nurses assist in the administration of chemotherapy to patients. Providing support to pet owners throughout the treatment of their pet’s cancer is a priority as we understand that this can be a worrying and challenging time for families affected.

Referring An Internal Medicine Case To Pride Veterinary Centre

Many conditions and diseases seen in patients attending the internal medicine and oncology service are chronic and require attentive follow-up. For that purpose, we realise the importance of working in close collaboration with you.

The team strive to provide prompt and complete communication with you. Depending on the circumstances, the follow-up will be undertaken at Pride Veterinary Referrals or at the client’s primary veterinary practice. In the latter situation, the team will be happy to help if any questions or concerns arise during the follow-up process.
