After graduating as a veterinarian in 2015 from Ghent University, Lisa completed a rotating internship and residency in small animal internal medicine. She then became a diplomate in 2021. After becoming a diplomate, Lisa worked as a senior internal medicine clinician at Ghent University and in De Verwijskliniek in the Netherlands. During this time, she started her PhD regarding the long-term follow-up of hyperthyroid cats after iodine therapy (with focus on scintigraphy and blood pressure) under the supervision of Prof Sylvie Daminet and Dr Mark Peterson.
Lisa’s main interests include endocrinology and endoscopy/minimally invasive techniques. She is committed to sharing her knowledge through various platforms and enjoys delivering regular CPD opportunities and speaking at international congresses.
During her residency, Lisa adopted a small dog named Sunny. She loves to spend time with him and her partner going on long walks or trips of any kind.
