Ana graduated from the Veterinary College of the Complutense University of Madrid in 2008. She then gained her Masters of Science in Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University (OSU), USA in 2009. She passed the basic clinical and science exam at the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) program, American Veterinary Medical Association in 2014. After undertaking a residency at the Oregon State University, Ana gained the American Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2015.

Ana has worked in both mixed and small animal practice in Spain, USA and Ireland, and in 2011, spent 2 weeks in a rural community performing clinical duties, instructing and supervising veterinary students of all levels in Nicaragua as part of a volunteer group at the IVSA Clinic in Ometepe.

Ana is a member of ACVAA, AVA and AVMA, and has spoken at IVECCS/ACVA 2012 in San Antonio on Anaesthetic evaluation of administration of intravenous alfaxalone in comparison with propofol and ketamine/diazepam inductions in alpacas.

Ana’s areas of clinical interest are all aspects of anaesthesia and analgesia.
