Following graduation from the University of León, Spain in 2010, Isabel went on to work as a first opinion veterinary surgeon in Spain for two years. Thereafter, she worked in an emergency first opinion setting in London for over 3 years.

In 2018, Isabel undertook an internship at Davies Veterinary Specialist followed by another internship at Fitzpatrick Referrals before coming to work as a surgery intern at Pride Veterinary Referrals. In July 2022, she started a residency in small animal soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.

In her spare time, Isabel enjoys hiking in national parks and she is a keen runner when time allows. Furthermore, her love for the natural world extends to marine life and scuba diving.
