Anna Rix

Anna graduated from University of Edinburgh – The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 and, after 18 months in mixed practice, moved to small animal practice and developed an interest in ophthalmology. She worked within the Scarsdale Vets Group at various times, in different capacities, and since 2009 she has been a member of the referral team at Pride Veterinary Referrals, seeing and treating both medical and surgical ophthalmic cases.

She achieved her certificate in small animal ophthalmology in 2018 and achieved Advanced Practitioner status in October 2020.

Life outside of work is pretty busy with a lot of time occupied by her young daughter and two dogs as well as helping her husband with their rocking horse business, where she paints the new horses which her husband carves. During her spare time, Anna can generally be found on stage with fellow members of her local amateur dramatics group.
