Phil graduated in 1998 from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. He then went on to settle in Sheffield after graduation, starting in mixed practice at Hallam Veterinary Centre. 26 years and counting he is still there and leading the team as Clinical Director. Hallam Veterinary Centre became a small animal only practice in 2004 and in 2009 Phil completed his Certificate of Veterinary Cardiology. Since then, he has been seeing cardiac referrals, alongside his duties of managing the veterinary practice and first opinion GP work. As well as a busy cardiology referral caseload in Sheffield, he has started working one day a week as a cardiologist at Pride Veterinary Referrals in late 2020.
Phil lives in Sheffield and enjoys all things outdoors while walking his Sprocker, Maisie. She also frequently joins Phil during his other passion, mountain biking. Phil loves cat as well and has two mischiefs at home – Spider and Bugs.
