Alenka graduated from the University of Ljubljana in 2002. She then went on to complete a PhD in Biomedicine there in 2009.

Upon completion of her PhD she undertook residency at Ghent university. Alenka has since worked at a number of referral hospitals in senior roles, having worked at Eastcott Referral Hospital as Head of Internal Medicine and Senior internal Medicine Clinician at Langford Vets. More recently she has worked as an Internal Medicine Clinician at Southfields Veterinary Specialists and North Downs Specialist Referral before joining Pride Veterinary Centre in August 2018.

She is interested in all areas of small animal internal medicine.

Alenka has a young daughter, a giant bonkers dog and is a keen violinist (which she has been playing since the age of 6)! She also enjoys yoga in her spare time.
