Alba graduated from the School of Veterinary Science at Complutense University, Madrid in 2011 and gained a Masters degree in research the following year. 

She has worked at a number of veterinary teaching hospitals in Spain and the UK and completed a Rotating Internship at the University of Cambridge in 2017. She was subsequently a Visiting Researcher at the University of Oxford from 2017 until 2020.

Alba worked in 1st opinion practice for 5 years before joining the internal medicine team at Pride Veterinary Centre in April 2020. During this time she gained the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Small Animal Medicine in 2019 at the University of Liverpool

Alba is undertaking a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine and is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Nottingham Vet School. Her areas of clinical interest are inherited and immunological disorders, infectious diseases, particularly vector-borne diseases, haematological disorders, nephrology and endocrinology.

In her spare time, Alba enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures. She loves to draw, paint and read, and has recently started a love of baking.
